So...if you notice the title of my blog...basically, it is hopefully a meltdown of how much weight I am going to lose with this Lap Band, and not as many mental meltdowns, but I'm sure we will have a few of those as well. I had lap band surgery 1/26/12 and started at 327 lbs. I started this blog in hopes that I can help others with things I've learned along the way and in turn help myself with the support I receive from others.

Boooo...up 2, but think it's water weight...
So...I'm up 2 as of today, but I really do think its water weight because all I've been able to eat is soup for the last few days, with lots of sodium. I think I might be a bit overfilled because all of the sudden come Tuesday, I haven't been able to get much down without being stuck. Funny thing is, well not so funny, but it seems all the fattening stuff still goes down, just not the stuff that's good for me. I have no problem with cupcakes or chips, but I can't get scrambled eggs, chicken, beef, pasta, or anything else down. This morning I was able to get a 1/2 of a granola bar down so hopefully it is stretching a little bit...this whole getting stuck thing sucks! And it hurts :( Oh well..if it doesn't get better in a week I'll be traveling again to get some taken out. Hope you have a better weekend than my week...lol...have a great one!

Good on the restriction... I only have 2cc in my band. I go again July 24th... W
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Took me almost 6 months to get a restriction that was good :)
DeleteIts important to eat your solid protein, if you still cannot eat next week, please consider getting an unfill.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cat! I definitely know that I need my real protein...but I was able to get some down at lunch today so Phew...hopefully I will be ok, but I was definitely prepared for a trip back to the doctor's for an unfill! Thanks :)
DeleteIt shouldn't hurt...maybe an unfill would be a good idea. Sorry you're having a rough time with it.
ReplyDeleteI know...trust me, I was thinking that when I was trying to eat...ughhhh! But...I was well prepared to go get an unfill next week if necessary, but as of lunch time I was able to eat a little bit..phew!!! Thanks for the response!
DeleteIt's funny the things that never seem to get stuck isn't it. Can you make up a batch of your own soup? Lots of veggies and no soup in a pot for 15 minutes and whizz it through a blender?
ReplyDeleteFYI--if you reply I will not see it unless you send an email. I think an unfill is in order, you need to be able to eat the good things.
ReplyDeleteLove your journey ... I know it's been painful, but it's this struggle that will eventually catapult you to another level. I'll be following, for sure.
